To bear witness is to render the invisible into images, to bring to light those stories that have been lost, overseen or hidden away. The films in this program employ the tools of animation to testify and account for some of the cracks and empty spaces in history, remember stories (made to be) forgotten and challenge dominant narratives. Above all, they mirror back to us, the audience, and ask us to see, to question, witness and remember.
